SaaS product demo video editing
Turn a screen recording into a demo people can follow.
FDM edits SaaS product demos and UI walkthroughs for product marketing, sales and customer education teams. Send a raw recording or a rough demo. We find the story, set the pace and make every click easy to follow.
Product walkthroughs and explainers for TikaMobile and Krista.ai
What the edit does
Three demo jobs, three finished examples.
TikaMobile
Teach one product task
A 2:32 conference-planning walkthrough moves from the event list to sessions, calendars and summaries, with cursor emphasis guiding each step.

Explain a workflow the screen cannot show
A 2:20 explainer uses animated interface cards to connect an inbox to CRM, ERP, policy and approval steps.

Keep a module series consistent
Walkthroughs for separate modules share the same framing, callouts and pacing, so a viewer can move between them easily.
Watch the video ↗- 01 Send what you have. A raw screen recording, a sales demo call, a product page or a list of the steps you want to show. Rough is fine.
- 02 Agree the one job. We confirm who is watching and the single task or idea the video must make clear, then propose an outline before editing.
- 03 Edit for attention. We cut dead time, set the pace, add zooms and cursor emphasis, and frame each screen so the viewer looks at the right place.
- 04 Explain what the UI hides. Where the interface cannot show a relationship or outcome, we add callouts, captions or animated UI, kept true to the product.
- 05 Review and deliver. Your product owner checks behaviour and claims. Two revision rounds are normally included before final exports.
When to bring in an editor
Signs your demo needs more than a trim.
- The recording follows the product menu, not the customer's task.
- Viewers have to hunt for the cursor or read small interface text.
- The value only makes sense if someone explains it live on a call.
- You need the same demo cut for a landing page, sales follow-up and onboarding.
- Several product modules need walkthroughs that look like one series.
Can you edit a raw screen recording into a product demo video?
Yes. A raw recording is the most common starting point. We remove pauses and mistakes, restructure the steps, add zooms, cursor emphasis and callouts, and finish with captions and sound. If the recording is missing a step, we tell you before editing so it can be recaptured.
Do we need a script first?
No. We can work from the recording and a list of the points that matter. If you want a script, our template helps you draft one quickly.
Should we use the real UI or an illustrated version?
Use the real UI when the viewer needs to recognise the screens and repeat the task. Illustrated or animated UI helps when the point is a workflow or idea that the screens alone do not show.
What happens when our product UI changes?
Plan for it before the edit. Keep each video focused on one task, agree who owns the source files and note which screens are likely to change, so a later update means replacing a section rather than remaking the video.
How long should a product demo video be?
Long enough to complete one job. A focused walkthrough of a single task is often two to three minutes; a launch or overview video is usually shorter. Splitting a long demo into a series helps viewers find the part they need.
What is the difference between a product demo and a product explainer?
A demo shows how the product is used. An explainer shows why the problem matters and what changes for the customer. Many teams need both, for different moments in the buying and onboarding journey.
Can one demo become a customer education series?
Often, yes. A long walkthrough can be split into short task videos for onboarding, help-centre articles and customer success, using one visual system across the series.
How is it priced and how do we start?
We quote after a short call and a look at your recording, because a single task video and a 20-video series are different jobs. You can start with one video to test the fit.
