This is a production workflow, not a regulatory substitute

Healthcare organizations have their own legal, medical and regulatory requirements. A production partner should not invent that policy. The useful production job is to make review responsibilities and stages visible so required scrutiny happens before late changes multiply across edit, captions, motion and exports.

A practical model separates medical accuracy, audience and channel judgment, brand identity and final business approval. One client-side decision owner resolves conflicts and confirms when a stage is closed.

Medical review protects meaning and accuracy

Medical or subject reviewers should verify claims, terminology, required context and whether editing preserves the expert's intended meaning. They should see the structure or transcript selection before finishing, then review an early assembled cut where pacing and visual emphasis can change interpretation.

Ask reviewers to distinguish a factual correction from a preferred phrasing. Both can matter, but the production team needs to understand whether a note repairs accuracy, aligns an approved wording or changes the communication approach.

Marketing protects the audience job

Marketing should own who the piece is for, where it will appear, what the viewer should understand and what action follows. It should also decide how the master relates to shorter assets. Marketing should not rewrite expert meaning to make a stronger hook after medical review.

When a clip cannot stay both accurate and short, marketing chooses another moment, a longer format or a different promise. That trade-off belongs in the content strategy, not inside the editor's guesswork.

Brand reviews a system, not every decorative choice

Approve typography, captions, logo use, color, illustration or motion territory through a mood board and representative frames. Once the system is approved, brand review can focus on exceptions and consistency rather than re-litigating visual taste on every asset.

Give accessibility equal status: readable captions, sufficient contrast, legible supers and pacing that allows important text to be processed. A brand treatment that hides the information has failed the communication job.

Close each stage with a named decision

The decision owner consolidates notes, resolves conflicts and records approval. If new information reopens an earlier stage, the team should identify the downstream assets affected and choose the schedule consequence consciously.

FDM can manage the production board, review versions and implementation. The client's designated reviewers retain authority for the domains only they can approve. Clarity about that boundary makes the work faster and safer.
